The Collapsing Dog Wheelchair *Patent
Pending
Lifting a large, heavy dog into the saddle of a wheelchair can be very awkward and difficult, requiring
a lift of up to 24 inches. This wheelchair greatly reduces the height required to lift the dog up into the wheelchair’s
saddle, either when loading and unloading the dog.

| 18-year-old Chewie takes a rest! |
When the two Release Pins are
pulled outward, the vertical supports rotate backward, causing the wheelchair to move downward, with the saddle only 6-8 inches
from the ground. With the cart ready to stand back up with the dog in the saddle, the
person lifts the padded cross-piece behind the saddle. The lift is much easier as the dog is in the
saddle and you are lifting a bar, and can position oneself very close to the bar and lift with your legs. The position of the lifting bar “cross-piece”, rearward of the saddle, also provides a mechanical advantage
due to its position relative to the pivot. Put the two Release Pins back in, locking the dog cart in the upright
position, and you’re ready to go!
